 Basics

Free Cave Tech assistance with self-repair of your bicycle

  • Tire and tube patch; cable repair
  • Low cost new tubes; brake and shifter cables
  • Low cost new and used bicycle parts

Affordable bike purchase from "re-cycles" stock

  • Purchase a whole bike from those ready to go, (when available)
  • Free repair-rack time to build-out your bike
  • Cost of bicycle, (if not ready to go), includes selecting components to complete project from used parts bids
  • Re-cycles, (whole units constructed by Bike Cave staff), come with 7 day warrantee – hard bicycle components will be replaced from available stock free of charge if they fail due to wear, (excludes tires & tubes-free used T&T are available).

o    All bicycle projects must travel home with co-op patrons and members, (bicycles left for more than one week will become subject to resale; bring lock to use free parking next to Bike Cave)

Repair stands and tools are a limited commodity

  • Purchasing patrons have first priority
    • “Purchasing patrons” are those repairing their Cave purchased bikes or upgrading their current bikes with Bike Cave stock.
  • Sign up for time on a repair stand when all stands are occupied
  • Limit of 1 hour stand time when there are other students waiting, (signed up), to use a repair station.

Flow Riders

Come ride with an all female group around the city. We can have long routes or short routes all depending on our group that day. We will be having a Potluck and Ride at least once a month at The Bike Cave. For more information:

Re-Build A Bike

 

The Bike Cave offers this low cost, 4-week training to the public, which covers basic bicycle maintenance as well as major adjustments and repair. You will have an opportunity to build a bike from the ground up and DIY. Please remember that this class is offered on a first come, first served basis. This class will not be held during finals; classes may be repeated twice each semester.

Cost:  $25 per person, per 4-week class cycle
